The cooperation of "MPK Łódź" tramway company and PLUTON remains strong and was recently marked with the new project — the implementation of a two-unit modular traction substation in Zgierz.
The new, powerful, and cutting-edge traction substation carries out the power supply of the renewed interurban tram line intended for direct and fast transport connection between Zgierz and the center of Lodz city. The modular traction substation includes reliable and modern rectifiers and DC switchgears with innovative AFB arc-free ultra high-speed circuit breakers produced by PLUTON. The modular traction substation is equipped with a telecontrol system, that provides real-time control of substation equipment, both via telecontrol cabinet, located inside the modular substation, and remotely, from the operator's control center of "MPK Łódź".
Since December 20, 2021, this eco-friendly and efficient vehicle provides comfortable and maximally fast transportation, and this is a great pre-Christmas present to the inhabitants of both cities. PLUTON is proud to be a part of this event!
