The successful implementation of Vallentuna and Lindholmen traction substations took place in Stockholm!
Within the frame of the project, PLUTON implemented for the first time the IEC 61850 Power Industry Communications Standard in the substation's specific environment. It provides integration of all equipment and systems into a unified communication network for prompt and safe control, as well as for the integration into the control system of other levels.
Both substations are equipped with the modern PLUTON solution — powerful 12-pulse voltage-controlled rectifiers VCR with a rated current of 2.3 kA and voltage of 1500 V. Their main advantages include set voltage stabilization at the traction substation output independently of AC power supply and load current fluctuations, implementation of electronic high-speed Imax protection at a level of the rectifier, no dynamics of transition processes when on/off switching, flexible and quick customization, etc.
This solution has already proven to be effective and reliable during its operation activity since the first time it was provided by PLUTON, especially for the Arninge substation in 2019.
