RU-825PP switchgear (switching with disconnectors)
RU-825PP switchgear (switching with disconnectors) is provided for operation in metro depot traction network as a third rails power supply circuits switching unit. RU-825PP switchgear (switching with disconnectors) is structurally designed as a metal two-section bilateral maintenance cabinet. One disconnector type EDT 4000 with visible double gap is installed in the right section.
Busbar for cable connections is led out in the left section. The cabinet is equipped with doors, closed with keys. The right section door is equipped with observation window for monitoring of disconnector contacts position. Disconnector is installed in the backside of the cabinet, and manual drive is led out into the front side.
Front and back parts of the cabinet are separated from each other with a panel with observation window. The cabinet is installed onto the foundation.
Three cables with cross-section of 625 mm2 can be connected to the input busbar. Cables are put into cabinet from the bottom through cable glands. Output busbar for connection with third rail is led out from backside of the cabinet.
Two-pole DC disconnector type EDT 4000 is a power switching unit. Disconnector is used in the metro depot traction substation third rails power supply diagram for connection and disconnection of "+825 V" circuits.
Disconnector on/off switching is performed via switching of reducer handle into “Disconnector is on” ("Disconnector is off") position. Disconnector on/off status is defined through observation windows according to the position of contact lamellas.
